Q:

AF Frame Dimensions

Hi All,

I just want to introduce myself as a newbie to the airgun world & after much deliberation, I have decided to start with the Airforce line. I love the fact that 1 platform can go from a “pistol”, albeit a large one, to a full blown long distance shooting Condor. In multiple calibers to boot. Any way, I haven’t purchased the base model for my build yet & was hoping that with all the good info I’ve found on this forum someone would be able to help me out & mic a few of the frame dims for me. I understand that there will be some tolerance variables but I just want to get the typical dims for the following.

Barrel Shroud ID
Barrel Shroud OD Width
Barrel Shroud OD Height (dovetail flat to dovetail flat)

Also, if anyone has a Talon P & could measure the distance from the front of the scope mount where it meets the upper shroud dovetail to the end of the barrel, that would be great.

Thanks,

Bill

Np and I have finally confirmed that the regular “Talon” (non SS) frame IS the same exact size as the TalonP frame. And the TalonSS is the same as the Condor(nonSS) and the CondorSS is the largest. 😛

Hoping to buy an old style frame (or a spin-loc frame WITH old style trigger group) TalonSS/Condor frame or trade my brand new Talon frame for one. If anyone would be interested in a trade or a sale let me know 😛 Not trying to thread hijack!! 🙂

quote eaSTS9:

Ok…the part you’re asking for…the tip of the frame/”barrel” to the front of the dovetail rail is 8” exact on the talonP. The entire frame from the front to where the tank is attached is ~15”

Thanks for the info eaSTS9.

As for some of the other dims I was looking for, I’ve found that the shroud ID is anywhere from ~1.006″-1.016″ & the OD (width) is ~1.25″. This info was from other random posts I was looking at & are only approximations.

My Talon frame is 15 & 1/8 inches from the valve/bottle stop to the muzzle end.

That was measured with the rifle almost completely disassembled, only the trigger group is in the frame ATM. :suprisedn:

can anyone else confirm if the regular Talon (notSS) frame is the same size or a bit longer? Like I said, I know the SS is longer, but was told the TalonP + Talon are the same and was also told they aren’t

I have a TalonP I can measure out for you tomorrow if no one has by then.

Also not to hijack the questions, but if anyone else has a TALON (not SS) frame they can measure too? I’m wondering if the TalonP and regular Talon frame are the same or a bit longer? I know the SS is longer, but the Talon frame seems to be the shortest, but don’t know if the TalonP is even smaller or just the same frame with a smaller barrel?

Thanks for any input, and any other measurements you’d need on the TalonP just shoot me a PM/Email.
