After Filling
After reading my airforce manual, it states that after you fill your tank you need to take a shot for it to settle down before starting to shoot for groups.
Do I have to take a shot every time I change my power wheel setting or is it not necessary??
Does blank firing harm the gun ( Condor ) in any way?
Also what do you people consider as good groups at 70 yards?

Firing a shot after filling will clear the way if any “valve lock” is happening. That is when the pressure in the tank is too much for the hammer weight and spring combo to overcome and the result being the valve will not fully open.
A locked valve will result in an underpowered shot, i.e. flyer or low shot.
I would not mess with the power wheel as it is not really a feature for adjusting but more of a feature for tuning. Read the “stickies” here on tuning your rifle for the best “bell curve”/shot count/power that you desire. Then find out which pellets your barrel likes best.
Dry firing will not hurt your gun.
Good groups at 70 yards…well that depends on many conditions and what you primarily use the rifle for. When my .25 condor shoots 3/4″ to 1” groups at 70 I am a happy camper.

with my condor the first couple of shots are almost always to a differant impact if i don’t take a test shot or two before groups, this also applies to when the gun has set for quite a while, i always take a shot into my indoor back stop before going out to make a shot on game etc.
