So, when are you going to buy the Air Arms side lever? 😆
Rob;
How do you like that Wheel on your scope? Does it hold ok on the adjustments? What brand/model is that?
Thanks!
I have the TDR and a ERB, the Classic/Carbine is more of a pefect length for hunting… I enjoy the sidelever on the ERB more than the bolt on my TDR as loading is much easier and basically no chance of double feeds for amateurs/friends.
I have a carbine air cylinder on my TDR, so if you do want to upgrade to a “classic/MPR” cylinder you have a selection of buyers for the old tube. I have Tench regulators in which I am installing into my AA rifles, I believe Andrius/Airgunexporter or something also sells his version. Might get a few more shots at less velocity deviations than stock with one installed, although you can tweak the AA to try and get more efficiency out of it as well.
Do you have to also order an optional suppressor?
I found my S400 carbine to have a bit of a “pop” to it. I wouldn’t call it quiet, as such, but if you added a SM on the end, it could be neighborhood friendly.
Well balanced and beautiful.
Hoot
Yeah, the Classic tube increases air capacity by about 80cc..which doesn’t sound like much, but it IS !!! it gives you about TEN more “sweet spot” full power shots.. the tube is SO easy to change..unscrew the old one change the fill adapter to the new one, and screwit in–HAND TIGHTEN 😀 😀 And costs only about $80.00 …Hard to beat a deal like that it 😎 😎 Really is a very simple gun to work on… My next gun will be another Air Arms…..like say an S510 ERB, high (and adjustable) power, side lever, kick-ass, dead accurate , super trigger, can’t -be-beat-with-a-stick variety 😉 😉 😉 😉 😉 😉 😉
I like them…. The ERB is a bit longish, but the Carbine and Classic are both good…and the Carbine with the Classic tube is damn near perfect.

Played with the side lever version.
Very sweet, wish I could justify getting one.
Actually the gun is really quiet with just the full barrel shroud….I just added the little 4″ LDC for the heck of it…plus I like the looks 😀
I have the “Classic” which is 3″longer
Awesome gun
How are they on noise?
Do you have to also order an optional suppressor?
That is one fine looking gun.
It is without a doubt as fine an air gun as you can hope to find. The carbine is short, lighhtweight, and shoulders like it was specifically for me. It LOVES all the JSB’s..14.3 ,15.9, and 18.1 I’m 26 and not near as “steady” as when I was say 19,,,even with that considered I can still shoot 5 shot groups that you can completely cover with a nickel 😀 😀 😀
Even with the (small) carbine air reservoir I get 13 shots at 47 yards before there is any POI,,,that’s with 15.9 pellets…the “classic” air tube , which simply screws in) could be used and would give it approx. 10 more shots…the tube costs a mere $80.00 NOT an extension, but a whole new tube…..gun is a breeze to tear-down and maintain…simle as a 22XX Crosman 😎 I had a custom stock made for mine , to fit my hand size , body frame and LOP…I MOST whole-heartedly recommend you get one…you can thank me later !!! Here’s mine…..

I just got mine in .22 yesterday. I have not yet had a chance to do any groups with it yet.
How do you like that thing, Packrat ?
