Q:

Air Arms S410 with regged bottle chrony results

So, finally managed to chrony my AA S410 with my bottle regulator and I am chuffed to bits.

The gun

And here are the results

Using 14.3 grain pellets and regualtor set at about 60 Bar

632.6,
631,
633.1,
640.3, ***
633.8,
634.7,
636.6,
633.4,
630.2,
630.6

Extreme spread 9.3fps

Standard deviation 3fps

Without that 640.3 result, Standard Deviation would have been 2fps :D:D

*** I think this was because of the angle of the gun to the chrony (I had tp put the gun down each shot to write down the FPS)

Just need to adjust the transfer port to get it below 600 fps / under 12FPE and it will be a winner

DAMMITMAN !!! That is looking good..With the regulator operating at such low pressure, you should be able to get a TON of shots, even though the bottle is smaller capacity than the air tube was… I have a Crosman AS2250 with a 13 cu.in . bottle, 3000psi, regulated at ~1450 psi..I get 134 shots of 10.5 Crosman Ultra Mags, .177 caliber, at 730fps, which is 12.2 fpe. I’m thinking that with your reg set at 60 bars you will get about a GAZILLION shots 😎 😎
And if you could find an 18 cu.in., W O W !!! I have to say though, the way you have it set up now is just super—you should be proud of how that came out-TWO THUMBS UP !!!

😛 Yeah I could…… suppose I will in the long run but its nice having something that is a bit safer in a residential area and can be used around barns etc.

The .17 HMR is one hell of a round 😀 But the silent .22LR is the workhorse around the UK

Dave

Well put the blighter on there!!
I’ve got .22 .25 but not .177 (girly pips!!)

I’ve had to give up my .22lr for my .17 HMR though.

But now will try for my .22lr again for quiet night shooting… 😉

Nah mate, don’t have .22 on my FAC (I did a 1 for 1 swap for the .25) anymore so it is under 12 FPE

Dave

Nice!!
You gonna up the reg for a bit more power?
