Q:

Air compressor

Need some ideas before I go on a shooting spree at my air compressor.

Will only go up to 120 psi, Runs non stop its a TSC brand.

3 cylinder and the middle cylinder seems to be pumping air out the breather and not adding to the tank volume.

This is one a single stage compressor If I remember right….
I’m thinking that the valve is broke or stuck in the middle compressor but was hoping someone could give me a better idea.

Got to looking at my compressor and noticed that the small sticker said made by Campbell Hausfeld. So I called them and for $125 shipped for all the parts to fix it….

Found out all the Farmhand tools are made by them so, I guess it’s the Black and Decker brand of Campbell Hausfeld

Ok I was thinking thats what happened ….This is why you don’t let ppl use your stuff. No respect!!!

So now I must be the ass and tell them they can’t use my garage to work on there cars anymore.

That sounds like the problem. If it is a single stage for sure, you should be able to take the center cylinder out of service by changing the lines. That is if has external plumbing, most 3 cylinder models I have seen have external lines. That would put you back in service until you can get parts.

I am assuming here that it has reed valves. Open it up to get the broken valve parts out so they don’t get into anything.
