Air Hog or airtanksforsale
I finally had it with pumping and decide to get a 4500psi carbon fiber tanks. I’ve been looking at airhog.com and airtanksforsale.com. Which one do you guys prefer and why? I will be filling either at a scuba shop or paintball store. I just need a basic set up for filling Marauder and airforce tank.

I haven’t even ordered a tank yet & found 2 dive shops very near me that said “no problem” we can fill it to 4500!
I figured ain’t no sense buying a 4500 tank if no one will fill it to 4500, so it’s going to be my late Christmas present to me! :8:

I was worried when I went to a paintball store and they said they might not be able to fill it. He said it was causing some backpressure BS and stop filling at 1000psi. I went to a real paintball site and they could only filled it to 3500psi. WTF!!!! And they charged me $13. They said it was on a weekday and they don’t turn on their compressor on until the weekends. They didn’t have enough air 😯
I was discouraged….did I just wasted $700 on a tank I can’t fill? I then called several dive shop and some said they might not be able to fill it all the way to 4500psi. Anyway, I decided to bring the tank into a dive shop about 7 miles away. He had this huge ass compressor and attached a fill adapter (no need to buy one!) and filled it up to 4000psi. Then he crank up the pressure a little more and more until it reached a little over 4500psi. Sure enough, when it cooled down (it was by no means hot, he filled it real slow) it drop to about 4500psi. He charged me $8, but I got a fill card (12 fills for price of 10).
In summary, consider getting your tank filled at a dive shop…

So here’s the set up I received from Aig Hog. It comes with paintball adapter, 3 ft hose with female foster quick disconnect on both ends, and a dead head for measuring tank pressure. All for $680 shipped. So did I get a good deal or no??

The Guppy tank does good for me for a days shooting but MORE IS BETTER ❗
I also have the 97 cubic foot Great White and Joe’s regulator that is great for shooting high power .25 caliber at the range.
If you’ve got the dough add on a Shoebox compressor. The more you add to the sale the better his price gets. Tell Joe we sent you and ask for his best package deal.
I bought from Airhog as well for similar reasons. Joe’s site and one page advertising hurts my brain. He needs some organization.
Thanks for everybody’s input. I took that in consideration but went ahead with Airhog anyway. The reason is that it was on sale (Standard Tank set) and it seems simpler that airtankforsale. airtankforsale.com is a very busy looking website and I was overwhelmed, so I went with the easier choice. I’m sure both of them are good though.
FYI, I got the standard tank set with paintball adapter and 3′ hose with double quick disconnect for $680 shipping included. I hope I got a good deal…

Air hog and Joe B’s tanks are U.S. made tanks… Joe will price match as far as I know for similar product.
Omega (AOA tanks) not US made…. I am not sure of the airventuri tanks.
Beside the fill hose….(Joe B’s are Excellent)
The Fill valve / Tank isolation valve is also very important…. The Special valve for for airguns has a flow restrictor in it that Limits the flow rate and helps reduce over pressurization. The standard SCBA valve can easily be opened too much and fill the Gun too quick, over heating the tank and worse case over filling the tank.

IMO, whichever one you go with, be sure to get a gauge on the tank side (measures pressure left in the tank) as well as the fill side. Finding out you’re low on pressure just before a game hunt is not part of the plan. 😯
Personally I prefer the fill whip that airtanksforsale.com have. The hose has strain reliefs on both ends and can keep the hose from kinking at the metal ferrules. There’s nothing like a hose blowing off at 3000+psi to get the adrenaline flowing. 😮 😯

Gotta have a good fill spot! Get to know them. They are usually good people.
Also it’s getting pricier but still cheaper than a compressor is the shoebox. I have an earlier model and they are awesome.
