Air leak, new AF Talon-P
Recently received new Talon-P w/Spin-Loc, neat beast, looking forward to slinging more lead once TT parts and Mad Dog stock arrive. 😎
Any how, filled it first time, mounted a cheesy 4x on top, shot 8 shots, refilled to 3000 PSI that late afternoon. Following afternoon pressure dropped to 2800ish. Let the pistol sit another night untouched no refill, this afternoon it had dropped down to 2600ish PSI. Hmmmm…
Removed the tank/spin-Loc from frame, quicky soapy water spray around fill port, gauge, spin-loc, no signs of bubbles. Blew everything off, refilled to 2900PSI, (shot the fill tank down to 2900 yesterday with AA S510), attached balloons to various parts, over Spin-Lok body, over filler valve, and over gauge face. Wasn’t able to cover the fill port to spin-lok threads or the gauge to spinlok threads or the spinlok to tank threads so covered the rest in a nit-rile glove. Should help to narrow down where the leak is coming from.
Constructive input/help/tips, negative or positive always welcome.
Thanks,
Paul
