Q:

Air Ranger .25 owners please help

Could someone please post or PM me a shot string of an Air Ranger .25 so I can make a decision. I just called AoA to order one but they are out of stock, expecting the next shipment any day. While I had them on the phone, the guy decides to REALLY confuse my by telling me that he is “blowing out” his remaining stock of standared Air Wolf .25’s for $1795! Plus the free Hawke scope. That’s like a $700 savings. I told him to let me ponder on it a bit befor I decide. The Air Wolf looks a little under powered to me in .25 though.

you can get an airwolf in .25 no fancy MCT but it does have the electronic trigger and 15 power settings havent used any but full power though so i cant say how well they work. that will have to wait for spring. i can attest to the awesomeness of the electronic trigger though. best ive ever shot even better than the remington 700 with electronic firing just never caught on with powder burners

Ok, thanks guys. I think I’m just going to get the MCT and be done with it. I just wish it was a .25. Damn it, Damn it, DAMN IT!!! The Air Ranger is perfect but I keep hearing about the electronic/super cool/no lock time/beat all end all trigger on the Wolves. Varminter, You have to tell me , is there alot of difference between the trigger of the AR and the MCT? Come on, I can take like a man. It really doesn’t matter anyway. I’m sure the very day after I recieve my order, Daystate will release the “New .25cal MCT” That’s just how my luck goes.

GT500, I don’t know what to tell you. That’s what the guy told me or I wouldn’t have spent the last five days even considering it. Now you got me wondering 😕 Either way, the standard Wolf is out for me. I’m down to MCT or AR in .25cal.

I spoke with AoA earlier this week and was told the $1795 Air Wolf didn’t include the scope.

Huh.

here is all the info you’ll need. All these below are from the same 80 shot string. I just keep tightening it up to show differences in power curve and the difference in Es, Sd, and FPE. The H&N were accurate but the JSB Exact King 25.4 gr were even more accurate and are my favorite. Unfortunately it looks like I lost my data but fps was between 890 – 918 and the average was around 908. Search for it. I might have posted it. Enjoy 🙂

I think I’ll stop at 20 😆

I think it would easily break intio the 900’s with the .25 JSB’s 😉

Thanks for the link Knife. That’s exactly what I was looking for. Looks like it’s just a little under 50fpe. I was hoping to see the fps in the low 900’s with the H&N’s. I wonder if he had the power turned all the way up. Varminter?? Where you at? I thinking I may as well just get the Ranger in .22 (also a 50 fpe rifle.

Send an e-mail or private PM to Varminter. He has a new .25 Ranger.

Found it! 😉
