AirForce Bi-Pod Too Loose???
The AirForce Bi-Pod has one flaw…it woobles and is too loose where the legs connect to the mount. That results in a “loose” hold when trying to do a little bench rest work.
Here’s an inexpensive and easy way to correct that:

That’s right, you ignorant goobers….one or two O-rings around the knob of the bi-pod. A 3/4″ OD O-ring is what worked for me. I didn’t have a thick one, so I put two thinner ones on to see if it would work.
It works just fine. I recommend a single thick O-ring, again 3/4″ OD, take the bi-pod off the mount, slide the O-ring down around the head (it will be very tight), put the mount back on.
For information purposes, the bi-pod seems to collapse and fold one way easier than the other. Determine this before you put the bolt back in, and place the “easy” fold direction where your ‘pod legs are when folded. I put some silicone lube on the O-ring to extend the friction life.
Thank you…..thank you very much…….Hoot has left the building!
