Airforce bottle leak :)
So I have a stock 490cc Condor tank and it was losing air so I ordered a new delrin piece (for the tophat stem) thinking that was the problem as air leaking thru the top of the valve stem.
Any ideas, do I need to polish the delrin piece?

Looks like I had 2 leaks!
Spun the delrin tophat valve piece touched it up seals great now, thanks for the info, and also had the burst disc leaking a bit. Discharged the tank reseated burst disc screw all is well. 🙂

If the delrin is not concentric to the stem polishing will not help.
Shoot it a bunch and help it cut its own seat ring.
Tear it down and see what marking the delrin has now?
Sometimes a few dry fires can re-seat the seal.
and when the pressure gets low and.you place your finger on the end of the top hat and feel the pressure allowing your fingertip to glide across it, it is the valve seat.
When you bag it like that air can leak from 2 places. Best test it put it in water. First just put the stem to the tophat in and if it bubbles its the seat.
If no leak put the valve in until you are up past the front. If it leaks from here it’s the o ring.

Remove the delrin seat, put it on the valve stem now that it is out of the bottle. Place the valve stem in a drill, or drill press, turn slowly and touch up the surface with 40 grit paper. Place back in the bottle, and enjoy! 😉
Some times a tiny piece of trash or grit can get between the delrin and brass seat, and cause a tiny cut. But it is easily repaired using the method above..

At least some new delrin valve seats need replaced or used to get a good seal at low PSI.
plastic wrap lightly stretched over the valve and held in place with a rubberband can show up a slow overnight leak as there will be slight ballooning.
As in the picture above, when the pressure got below 1,000 PSI, the leak became real obvious. At that point I could feel it blowing. At 1800 it was only noticeable onernight. This one holds good above 2200 PSI and I will recheck to see if it doesn’t make a better low pressure seal after a few hundred rounds.

Could be the o ring that seals the brass piece. Thats the only place I have had one leak on my personal tanks. O rings was all dried up and in pieces when I took it apart.
