Airforce Condor barrel secured to frame with only one screw!
I wanted to measure the LW barrel in my new 0.177 Condor and discovered that the folks at Airforce assembled my condor used only 1 screw instead of the four that are usually used to secure the barrel (bushings) to the frame!!
Is this is a new cost saving measure at Airforce??? Would you guys recommend me using the Condor with just 1 screw securing the barrel to the frame?

Right.. blaming someone else never appeased a sensible consumer.
Admit fault, apologize and offer to rectify….
I love the implication: “We didn’t sell you the gun, our distributor did, we think they might have done something stupid or negligent, have you two chatted?”
A better tact might have been: “We’re sorry your gun was not delivered as it should have been. We will examine internal quality processes as well as anything at our distributors that might have caused this quality escape. Here’s a lolipop for the annoyance…”

How inconsiderate of you!
They are just trying to save you the time and effort of removing three more screws to disassemble your rifle or take it apart to experiement with springs hammers or where than one screw should be in the four potential postions.
I can only imagine the time I would have saved in the last two years if my Condor and other two AF rifles had only had one screw. 😕
And all you can do is bitch.
AirForce and PyramydAir know what is best for you, now man up and shoot that gun and when the barrel breaks loose and is lauched as a harpoon, video it all for us to see. 😆

P.S.Wrap some parachute cord around it so you cn reel it back in in case it goes over the neighbors fence or in water
I got back an e-mail from Airforce Airguns and here is what they had to say – “The barrels are held in place with more than 1 set screw. You have two on the side of the frame and two on the bottom of the frame. If you only have one set screw it appears Pyramyd may have swapped the barrel and forgot to install the other set screws. Have you contacted them about this? We cannot guarantee what they may have done but we can guarantee the barrels have 4 set screws.”
They were also willing to mail me the set screws.
Maybe they want it to be easy for barrel changing since they are launching their new line of .25’s 😆
Yeah, I’d give them a call, maybe you’ll get some free goodies to help ease your stress.

That would be an excellent example of AirForce quality control 🙄
I would run down to the local hardware store and pick your self up a few grub screws and sinch them down before playing with your new wife, then I would call AirForce and bitch them out for a bit just to let them know this kind of nonsense is unexceptable!
