AirForce Pump Repair Help
I have rebuilt my AirForce pump a bunch of times. The o-ring (007) at the bottom of the center shaft (just above the split nylon washer) keeps getting ripped up. Any idea what I am doing wrong? Some time I only get a few fills before I have to replace it. I can do the whole job in about 7 minutes but it is getting old. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I had that problem too. The hill pumps dont use an o-ring in this location.
I also notice that the nylon washer should be replaced evry so-often.
My pump intermittantly cycles or pressurizes itself and pushes the handle up. I’m pretty sure thats what happens when the nylon washer is bleeding too much air?? Hope that helps.
I have been using silicone grease but still the o-rings just don’t last. Either my pump is faulty or there is a design flaw. Juts thought that someone might know what the problem is and possibly have a solution.
Put a thin film of silicon grease on it see it that helps
Wish I could help you. Rebuilt mine once then bought a scuba tank for my refills, like the tank setup better now.

Thanks for the advice. I recently replaced the 007 o-ring with a 90 duro. It seems to be holding up better than the ones I got at Home Depot. I got 20 of them on line for a couple of bucks. While I was at it I picked up 20 vinton o-rings for an additional $1.50. I am not sure if they are any better but I will use them if I am not happy with the 90 duro. I will post again as I learn more about how well they hold up.
