Airwolf MCT – 80 & 100 shots using JSB Monster 25.4 gr.
I AM VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE MCT’S CONSISTENCY!!!
This is 100 shots using JSB Monster 25.4 grain pellets. All 100 shots were from one fill starting at 251.3 bar (3645 psi) and an ending pressure of 157.88 bar (2290 psi). These pellets were not weighed or sorted and are straight out of the can. It is also true that the MCT can easily shoot over 100 shots but I am only willing to use so many pellets for the purpose of testing consistency. I had to see it for myself in order to believe it and here is my proof – Very impressive!
These 80 shots are from the same 100 shot string pictured above. I started the 80 shot string from shot number 21 out of the 100 total shots shown above. After 20 shots, the MCT’s fill was at 230.5 bar (3343 psi). I noticed that the MCT will give you the best consistency when filled to the recommended 230 bar fill.

I would have bought the .25 if Daystate would have raised the power on them but the .22 and the .25 are both 40 FPE rifles. This made the .22 an easy choice.
LOL, you won’t get the same number of shots, unless you attached the 88cu scuba tank on the .25 cal 😆 😆 😆
I think it would be nice to have that gun shoot 25’s like that. It would be the ultimate.

Base on other reviews, they said 40 to 50 yard 1/2″ group, not sure if that true, will how yours turn out once you have a change to test it.

It’s cool and a bonus that the MCT can shoot so many consistent shots but like mam said, who really needs more than 50? The Edgun gets 50+ very consistent and accurate shots. The reason I bought the MCT wasn’t for the crazy high shot count. I bought it for the Edgun like consistency at 37-40 FPE depending which pellet you choose. I also love the trigger and the hammer slap free, super quiet shots at that kind of power. I hope the weather clears soon so I can test accuracy at some different distances.
Great numbers Varminter.. It is nice to see the Wolf is living up to it’s
reputation…. I agree the EDgun can not match shot count no matter what
power level it set on…. Having a bottle on the gun makes all the
difference in the world…. Big air volume rocks….
I had a similar experience with consistancy with the Rapid when filling
past the recommended 3,200psi. I can get 50 shots @ 31FPE @ 3,200
with an ES of 9 and an SD of 2.58 but when I fill to 3,400psi I get 80
shots at the same FPE. The ES goes up to around 25 and the SD goes to
somewhere between 6 and 7…. Just not worth the extra 30 shots…. I
can’t think of a reason that I would need more than 50 shots anyway so
it is probably wise for you to stick to the 230 bar fill….
I have the Airwolf MCT and yes, you can change the power on the gun. I haven’t shot a string at the 30 FPE setting yet but I might soon if this rainy weather continues. I hate using so many pellets checking numbers on a chrono but it’s better than not shooting at all and it allows me to get to know the rifle better. I guess you could say we’re bonding 😆
By the way, I still feel that my Edgun is slightly more consistent than the MCT if we are just talking about a 50 shot string but they are both so close it really doesn’t matter. These are two different beasts, each with its own strengths and purpose. Why do you think I had to have both?
Tell me more about this power change, 200 shots sounds like some awesome stuff to me.. hmm time to invest in Air Wolf! Would I expect the same amount of shots from the basic Wolf?
