Almost scratch built 2240 based pcp
Been working on this for a little while now. Finally able to do a few test fires on co2 (Bottles are empty. 😥 ).
No chrony numbers, but penetration in pine is about 3/4″ with 14.3gr cp hp. Should be…better…on air. 😀
Designed around a minimum yield at 9000psi, and hydro tested at 6000psi, for an operating pressure of 3000psi max.
It’s my first attempt at multi shot pcp, and I’m feeling pretty pleased thus far. Have to remove some weight from the hammer, and see if that helps with the hammer bounce. Have already put in the heaviest valve spring I can find. Still vicious hammer bounce.
Once I get the hammer bounce under control, I think that’ll be the time to dig out the chrony and work on getting a bell curve?
I think I might keep the tube stock and add a wood fore end and grips like 80Grits Disco.

It is Steve that has the hammer debouncer. There’s another design floating around though…might try it first as I can make it from scraps.
I’ve yet to make the front barrel band. I want the barrel to float in the front band…crosman bands pull on the barrel, and as the pressure in the tube changes, it’ll pull on the band. See where I’m going with that? 😉

You need an HDD (Hammer Debounce Device) I think Airguns of Airzona sells them, and if memory serves me correctly is it “steve in NC”??? Anyway, without my HDD installed, when I pulled the trigger it literally sounded like a “Minigun” and it would empty itself right out 😯

i built an 18 inch and noticed i needed 2 1 where yours is and 1 at the muzzle to help keep bbl tight when hunting

Steve may be an asshole that has pissed allot of good people off, but them hdd’s straight up do there job, the dam thing more than doubled my shot count on the 22xx
