Ammo panic in the U.S.
I have a buddy who today, did something that I am still busting a gut over, even though I figure he is probably right for what is in store for the U.S. with the next Presidency. He called me to meet with him to show me something. I about fell out when I looked in the back seat of his pickup.
He had just left Wal-Mart and had COMPLETELY bought them out of .22 cal LR ammunition. The backseat of his truck was stacked about 8 rows deep with 86 bricks of Remingtons and 74 bricks of Winchester ammo. Showed me the receipt and it was for $2389.23 bucks. I put a calculator to that and came up with roughly 82,700 rounds of .22 ammo.
He says I won’t be laughing when I can’t afford to buy any in the next year or so due to all the taxes that will placed on ammo, but he will have plenty to sell for a marked profit to his investment….. 😆 😆 😆

Not here to thread hijack and I’m not going to argue with you but… since I don’t qualify for a conceal carry permit in Maryland there aren’t too many options to open to me. I have my 9mm 12gauge that dust off from time to time. But I also have 5 kids, 2 dogs and the wife in the house. I feel a need to protect against home invasion and break in. The kids are (in my opinion) too young to even know there is a gun in the house. I work in Baltimore City. Even if I had a gun legaly stowed in the car it would be too far out of reach to useable and would be more likely to be stolen when my car gets broken into than to collect dust. I enjoy guns, I used to shoot 22L’s with friends and dad but land is becoming scare around here and I get bored at ranges. So the TSS and a pair of target pistols suit me fine. If I ever feel a need to arm myself for a larger purpose….. I have the means to do so and I have friends in the right places (and some in the wrong places 😯 )

I’ll stick with my airguns but there are several gun enthusiasts in my 4×4 club that are buying 10,000 round lots for there AR’s as fast as they can find them. I’m not equipped to defend myself outside my house so as long as pellets are reasonable, I’m good.

I got a gatlinggun that eats up 1500 rounds of .22, each time I take it out!
I better stock up. Is this tax speculation? What are the chances it will be enacted?
Obama is gonna be fairly busy with the economy, maybe no time to fool with gun law?
Here’s something ponder. I have heard that most goverments have agreed that controlling firearms is all but impossible however guess what they can control?
