Angle of Drop of an ETaC ?
What is the angle of drop of an ETaC, or how much does the rear end of the tank go down from the front of the tank ?
I’m actually considering the drop only model (ETaCSD) with no cast off.
I’m trying to determine, if I got one, how much drop it would give me where my cheek bone is.

I just bought the ETaC Ambi which replaced the ETaCSD.
(figuring the Z-TaC and V-TaC are public pipe dreams)
I think I’m one of Jim’s best customers. I have bought 3 short Etac’s, 2 regular Etac’s, 3 Etac-Regs, 5 Etac-Regs made out of 1018, and I’m ordering 2 more Etac’s today.
The newer version? I’ve had some of mine for a year and they unscrew. Must be talking about the short etac that doesn’t once you install fill nipple and gauge.
Thanks. I just talked to Jim Gaska of ETaC and he tells me the newer version of the ETaC is unscrewable so one can easily take off the tank for storage back in the gun case, which was very good news.
If I remember right it is 5 degrees. My 62 ci tank is 3.54″ in diameter and it works great. But it is just over 10″ long with no valve.
I didn’t think the cast off to the side was a good idea and it does look like you bent the rifle BUT, it actually works great. They say the stocks on some expensive rifles have the clerk rest offset and it makes sense. The more directly behind the scope the straighter upright your head and sight picture. It also lessons the amount of drop needed and makes up a little for the added length.
Like the WOKBUTT & WOKGARD15 it’s hard to imagine why AF doesn’t make them with these features and the E-TaC with drop and cast off.

I will make a “Z tac” but it won’t be for a while. Still waiting for my lathe to arrive. I’m working on shroud disign right now so when my machine shows up that’s first on the agenda.
