Another less than stellar Barska
Barska 3-9X42 IR Contour
Thought I’d give ’em a chance with one of their new scopes. Fit the bill on paper but did not pan out well. Dim in spite of the 42 AO lens, and the horizontal mil dot reticle had a feint double vision sort of thing going on. Had a “dusty” view. The lighted reticle was okay not too bright or whatever. The eye relief was not the claimed 4-5″ which wouldn’t have been a problem but it seemed to take a bit of extra effort to find it. So back to PlanetOptic it goes.

i really like the bushnell elite 6500. it’s lightweight, good optics and has a nice mil-dot reticle with side-focus.
i also like the hawke sidewinder which has a beautiful reticle but is much heavier and is more sensitive to eye position to obtain a clear picture.
