Q:

Another Noob with a few questions….

Hello all,

Great site with ALOT of info but have a few questions that need to be confirmed.

First off, the purchase of a Talon SS is not possible in the area that I live in so that option is crossed off the list.

I’m leaning towards the Condor as it is the more powerful of the two models (Condor and the Talon).

1 – I read that the frame of the Condor is exactly the same as the Talon SS… Correct?

2 – I know that the Talon SS has a screw hole under the frame near the tip so that the muzzle cap can be secured with a grub screw. Does the Condor frame have the same screw hole at the tip?

3 – Seeing that the frame of the Condor and Talon SS are the same I assume that with a 12″ barrel and a Talon SS muzzle cap I can easily convert a Condor to a “Talon SS” but still retain the power of the Condor?

4 – I’ve visited the Air Force web site but did not see a Talon SS muzzle cap replacement part, can this part be order from them?

Thanks for all the help.

That is good to hear. We have a lot of great guys here on the forum. That goes for the silent ones also that mainly read. I have had dealings with many of them and it is great to have such a brotherhood on this site.

Just wanted to say that 2 members of this forum stepped up and offered their assistance in helping to answer my questions.

THANK YOU both. 🙂

ROC – Just wondering. Where are you? Why is a Talon SS not an option?

Live in Canada yet where they sell the Condor and Talon they also sell the Logun S16. Maybe becuase the barrel and shroud are considered as one, I don’t know…

But I wasn’t planning on converting anything into something that would be illegal now , this was more of a educational question 😉 😉

Thanks Yellow Ninja.

Morning All,
I have about 15 questions that I’d very much like to have answers to.
What I would like to do..is call someone who knows the ins and outs of these guns and wouldn’t mind sparing about 15 minutes of their time.
I’m on Verizon, so if someone is not comfortable with PMing me their phone #. I’ll be happy to provide them with mine.
I’ll try and keep it short, to the point and worth while for whom ever.
Thanks and I’ll check my PM’s thru out the day.
Again, Thank You

I’ve owned both at the same time –

The only difference is that there’s an extra Inch on the top rail (scope rail). Doesn’t affect anything internally or affect compatibility of parts.

Yes, its used to secure a peice of delrin that fills the space between barrel and frame to make it look tidy – It’s in the same position and uses the same screw as the SS end cap – the parts and end caps / delrin piece are all interchangeable.

Yeah – You’ll get around 40-45 fpe with a Condor and 12″ barrel as opposed to a Talon SS’s 26 fpe.

When you buy a 12″ barrel from AF it comes with the end cap (When you buy an 18 or 24″ barrel they come with the delrin peice). If you want to buy a barrel elsewhere then AF do sell the end caps, just have to call them and make a parts order.

Your welcome.

Depending on how much noise you or your neighbours want to deal withI’d recommend the SS over the Condor to start with. I went for the more power is more thing at first and got a Condor, but 26 fpe is a lot of power, and the SS can be made quiet with hardly any effort or tools.
