Another Scope rail question
So, I am going to (hopefully soon-ish) be doing a .30 conversion from Talon Tunes. I’m also going to modify the frame somewhat. The scope rail is one part I’m going to have modified. Here’s a question: With a TT AAA tune, and the .30 jsb’s, would I really need 20 moa cant in my scope base? I’m using a TT stock, w/one of his Tank Adapters. I mean, does anyone have any idea on the accurate, humane killing range of these .30’s? Does the range warrant a 20 moa base? I want to have a 20 moa base made- but if it’s not really needed, why go to the extra expense? I can totally see it for a .257 due to the possibility of going out to 300+ yards, but I’m trying to be realistic w/the range of a .30 w/a tuned factory tank/valve. Thoughts?

Good points Edge. I will be doing a custom scope rail, like Doug’s “Regulated .30” build, but with M1913 instead of a dovetail. I’ll probably be lowering it a bit, but I’ll have to see how much if any, once I get the tank adapter on, and check it w/the stock on the tank. I’m thinking of not going with the 20 moa. I don’t see myself shooting much past 100 yards with this rifle. That’s at the extreme edge.
