Another use for the Daisy Powerline 901
Bought this little gun at Academy last year on clearance for $24 bucks. Never did much with it as it is not just the most powerful in the arsenal. Have kept it out in the barn and was out there working today and the damned yellow jackets were swarming by the hundreds. Must be a cold front on the way.
Anyways, did not want to have pellets ricocheting all over the place so got the bright idea of cramming a cleaning patch down the barrel and giving her 6 pumps. The first yellow jacket lit about 4′ away and when I pulled the trigger, it was total anihalation. I’ve now run out of patches, so I am cutting little squares out of an old T shirt and have probably gotten atleast 100 kills so far…….. 😆 😆 😆

As a kid I had anything I could find on the ground shoved down the barrel of guns.
Old rusty BBs. Spent pellets. Nails. Rocks. Sand. Darts. You name it. 🙂
I even found a piece of plastic rod that just fit down the barrel. I sharpened it to a point with a cinderblock and would shoot it into the side of a barn. I remember losing it while shooting at a bird.
I’ve heard of guys using salt, poppy seeds and the like as a shot for wasps.
