Any clever ideas out there for an anit skid Wokbutt?
I can’t set my rifle in the corner by the door anymore as it will skid on the hardwood and fall. I’m using a rubber coaster, but it’s a pain and my wife keeps hiding it. 😀 I thought of cabinet door stick on bumpers, but they would snag clothing. Any ideas?

That’s what I did .. I have a piece of rubber mat from a truck bed and it sits by the door … when I’m baiting critters in the rifle butt sits on that rubber pad while the rifle leans up in the corner and no need for a modification to the rifle 😀
You could use a butt pad for bench rest shooting, the WOK butt would fit nicely between the ears… It could double as a mini rest for the front grip when shooting off the porch…

You may need to rig something that goes across the bottom if the WOK butt doesn’t make the span…

How about an old mouse pad?
Peel the slippery side material off, cut to desired size…
Might not look any better than the coaster, but at least it won’t be part of the wifey’s matched set.
If you tell the wife that’s what’s going to happen if you go this route, maybe she won’t hide your coaster. 😉

Skateboard tape, if you don’t want the extra padding… though it might mar your floor after a while.

Or in leiu of a smart ass answer, metals idea is the most obvious and least troublesome. Anything you stick to the actual butt will probably piss you off when shooting…
I prefer Akula’s idea. Keep the wife in the corner on a rubber mat until you need feeding.
You can buy adhesive backed rubber sheets from McMaster carr. Trim it to fit the wokbutt & stick it on. Or just buy a plain backed sheet and lay it on the floor where you sit the gun.

I used the pad off the old butplate. It was still plenty sticky.
