Q:

Any loading "best practices" advice

Been kind of slow here lately and decided to post this “rambling thought” for discussion.

I’ve been using my Condor for backyard pest control now that I’ve become more proficient at the “one shot, one kill” method, compared to my previous break-barrel aim-shoot-hope the pellet goes where it is supposed to method. :smilen:
I prefer to keep the Condor loaded with a pellet at readiness, but not cocked. What I do is slide the bolt carefully forward enough to load the pellet and not engage the hammer, then release it back to closed. It works alright,,, but not having pencil-thin-fingers, I find that I fumble around inserting the pellet, getting my thumb and fingers in the breech space while loading and holding the bolt at that perfect un-cocking spot with the other hand.
Just wondering if any others have come up with a better way of loading?
Thanks for any replies.

I did the mod (removed the safety toggle). Now I can de-cock with ease and I enjoy my preference for a manual safety too! Hoot:

I do the same with Condors, Talons, and the Edge. Partial cocking method.

Doesn’t make it right…. but if I want to leave a pellet at the ready I just hold the knob/hammer forward and pull the trigger. Got to be ready for the hammer when it is released. make sure your pointing the muzzle in a safe direction.
