Q:

any members from the Big island of Hawaii?

First of all I would like to say Happy New Year to everyone.

I am a newbie from Hawaii thinking about getting into the exciting world of pcp. Debating between the tt .25 marauder or the .25 talon ss to go from Anthony. Would mainly be used to take out mongooses from up to 50 yards.

Just was wondering if there is any members here from the Big island of Hawaii? If so, just inquring where you get your air from? I don’t think I would enjoy the hand pump method.

Howzit robinsonmac,

I’m on the Kona side. Got plenty dive shops ova hea….

Howzit all,

Thanks for all the replys!

Brada Phat96 I called nautilus scuba shop and said they were able to fill tanks up to 3,400 psi, got one option.

Second option, is I saw some paint ball shops in the yellow pages; Paint Ball Heaven/Paintball Performance and said they were able to fill compressed air up to 4,500 psi.

Brada imadman much mahalo’s did a quick search on “bigisland mark”and will send em a mess if he goes the scuba route or hand pump method. I tried taking out couple mongooses with my .177 gamo up to 35yard with no success. Those critters make my dog bark all day long!

Try searching under the user name “bigislandmark”. Hand pumping is’nt that bad unless you drain the tank completely. Other than that going from 1800-3000 psi really isn’t that hard or long to do. As for your air, most dive shops can do 3000psi. If you don’t have luck there, try a place that services fire ext.
Mongoose are easy to dispatch with a good .177 or .22 out to 50yds. The .25 comes in handy for head shot’s on wild boar at closer ranges.

Until you have been, and visited several islands, it is easy to not realize how large the area is. On a map it looks tiny, seems like you could just kayak to the next island and be there in 5 minutes. Definitely not so. That place is huge, just not big enough for me. I lived in a TINY island for long enough. I’m liking the open space. 🙂

And welcome!

Look up dive shops or scuba in the yellow pages!! Dirty Harry is another I know is there.

Welcome. I would go for the Condor!

Howzit brada maw,

There are seven islands that make up the hawaiian islands. Just did a quick search of walt and it shows his location in Oahu Hi, a different island from me about a 45 minute flight from the Big island.

Just inquiring if we got any fellow members from the island of Hawaii (Big Island)? and what scuba shops they go to get air refilled for there scuba tanks?

Welcome!! Yes there are other prominant citizens from the island here, so you are in luck, I would get a Condor 25, and there is a guy on the forum that could hook you up on the island his name is Walt, the Condor could also be handy to take out some bigger game.
