But as a novelty item, something to try and experiment with, I could see it being a fun and frustrating adventure! 😀
i have a brand new lem .177 pellet mould which i have no need for so it’s up for sale,it’s still in its packet and still has the specimen air ‘bullets’ in the packaging.i have no idea of value though. 😕
I sure would be nice if we had some one that could make those pellet molds in the USA. they look real neat may be someone will try you think
Another option is lathe turn copper or bronze pellets. You can make some really nasty hunting projectiles that snap in two on entry etc. Then there’s the option of simply modifying OTC pellets to suite using custom dies but that too is extreme.

You can better make some money with real work. 😉
And how much do you shoot, a day fun for only a few $.
Don’t even bother! Unless you already own all the other equipment required, you’ll never get back the start-up costs. Even if you do, the cost of lead will be higher for you than a manufacturer and you’re unlikely to recover your investment.
actual pellet molds are few and far between
LEM out of the UK used to make the ones Beeman sold but they are out of business plus were not that ccurate
there is an outfit in OZ that makes a custom .22 pellet mold and there are guys stateside that make custom molds
frankly a better alternative would be to talk to Corbin and get a set of swaging dies made for an RCBS reloading press
only reason to roll your own is for pellets unavailable in commercial offerring as it will take a long time to recoup the investment
The pellets you can buy in .177 and .22 are far cheaper to buy then the equipment to make them.

I think it fun to cast your own pellets, bullets, etc… even it cost a bit more. I was thinking to cast my own ammo for the .25, .308, .45 cal, but never did 😆
If I could find a mold that could cast 4 pellets or more at the same time, I properly going to try it out 😀
