Any real cases against airgunners these days?
I like quiet airguns as much as any one, and I think the Talon SS is a super way to keep the fun quiet.
There are horror stories at these two links: This one is the most alarmist: http://www.beemans.net/silencers_on_airguns.htm and this one by Tom is a bit more resonable: http://www.pyramydair.com/site/articles/silencers/
My thought is that if the OEM, like airforce, builds a shroud into it’s standard rifle, and it doesn’t look like a silencer, that this is a fully legal product. But if you build something that looks like a silencer, it’s probably a silencer.
Why hasn’t Airforce extended the SS shroud to cover 18″ and 24″ barrels? That would be a cheap new flavor for them to sell; heck I would get one.
Do you know of any real prosecution in progress at this time????
