Q:

Any real difference between regular & Match Kodiaks?

Are the Kodiak Match (.22 or .25) really worth the $2 difference from the regular ones at P/A? Are they really more consistent and accurate?

I ‘m getting ready to place a pellet order (.22 & .25) and need to make a decision.
Thanks for your help.

Thanks for that link Don. I ‘ll stick with the regular ones.

Maw: Yes, SamYangs were definitely on my list. Not sure I ‘ll get much use out of the lighter Kodiaks with a 90fpe .25 Condor anyway. They ‘ll probably go supersonic but I ‘ll get a couple of tins anyway for when I experiment with lower PW settings.

get some sam yang 25s, Harry, they are working good for me so far. they are pointed and hit like a freight train.

the difference between standard & match Kodiacs was covered in a recent thread. Can’t remember what section off hand I’ll try to find. A few folks who had tested both actually found the standard Kodiacs to be more consistent in weight than the match ones. 😯

This was the discussion, it was re the .25 Kodiacs, don’t know if the .22 would be any better or not.

For a hunter I’d say “no”.

For a target shooter who ‘might’ actually notice the difference I’d say “what the heck are you using .22’s for”.
