Any reason not to buy this Leupold???
I may have a deal going ot for this scope and need to know if there is ANY reason NOT to buy it? It will be used on a Leshiy.

It’s not a good airgun reticle . You need at minimum one Mrad value on the reticle, preferably 1/2 mil settings would be even better.
Never mind, I don’t have a deal on it. I would have been able to get it for $496 plus shipping but then the Guy helping Me backed out because of the restrictions in the US. I forgot about that, something about needing an export license or whatever when it comes to scopes.
This scope costs $940 over here and I’m not paying that.
This isnt really a BDC reticle is it? Its just a 2.5mil dot scope. The distance from dot to dot looks consistent at 2.5mils.
IMO, Depending on use case, this scope could be fine. Regardless of MIL, MOA, BDC, reticle and turret system, you will still need to practice and learn ballistic curve for your projectile.

Long range? Its a 4 power scope, shooting bird sized targets past 50y with a 25ftlbs .22 or .25cal Leshiy is going to be more of a challenge than just guessing the holdover between dots on any reticle.
Yes, but when shooting at longer range lets say at 150 yards it will be difficult to figure out whether you are at 8.5 mildot or 9 on this reticle and that is all it takes to miss at long distance.

It looks excellent to me. But to guess the holdover in between the dots of reticle will be difficult for long range.
I didn’t know it was like that. I thought it was a standard mildot..
The reticle sub tension is what killed the scope for me. Riflemen so lazy now they can’t even dope a standard mil-dot. All the new scopes have stupid BDC reticles. News flash standard MRAD is a BDC reticle that you can figure the values for depending on the projectile. Please stop with the BDC reticles scope companies
