Q:

Anybody see the New Bowtech Destroyer

Looks pretty sweet, And i just got used to my 82nd airborne, If this bow is built for ease of use and accuracy like they say , and still shoots 351 Ibo i may be in trouble again.!!!!!!!!!!!

My airborne is the sweetest thing i have ever picked up. Not a real easy bow to master , makes you really work on the form.

So after getting over the form schooling , i can shoot this bow better than any bow i have ever bought before or picked up.

Man i know what ya mean ,i haven’t looked at the new bows, haven’t looked on e bay at bows,
Then bow tech sends me an e mail, and i’m looking at this dam destroyer, I’m like oh shit! , i feel the fever already…@^%**^ LOL

I really like the general i have shot my nephews general,it is a very forgiving bow. I picked it up and shot well with my first group.

I have also shot the admiral, and think that it is pretty sweet. it was bare with no sights. and i grouped very consistent with it. so i feel it would be a very forgiving easy bow to shoot , and it fills real good in the hand.

The 82nd is a bad ass bow but you give up shotability for the speed, i can turn it down to 60# and it still shoots faster than most with 425 grain aroows.

My buddy bought some on those 6.2 grain per inch high country arows ,and i shot them thru my 82nd ,at 72# and you could’t hardly see the arrow. i would tell you the speed but i dont want ya t do the , ( yeah right). only shot a few , not real good on the bow.

I tell ya a bow i want to shoot is the High Country bows, they shoot light arrows well but the heavier arrows not any better than the 82nd.

Vhag got to build me one of those bow holders, nice!!!

quote IMADMAN:

I still got my Hybrid Patriot/Allegiance, had an Elite E-Force, sold that to get my 1st. AF, as much as I enjoy shooting archery, the bow companies have this thing about making new stuff every 3-6 months, so after waiting to get the latest and greatest and getting it, the “new” stuff comes out shortly after…. 👿
Now I want to try the “new” stuff but just blew my wad on the “Old” new stuff.
I got tired of dumping my stuff dirt cheap to get the new stuff…. my bow shoots at about 320fps fast enough for me and more than enough for what I hunt. So i’ll be sticking with it for a good while. Matthews, Bowtechs, Hyots and PSE’s are what most shoot here.

its like buyin a computer
in 6 months the NEW best comp u bought will be out dated and slow

i been shooting a general for year in half now and i love it i just order a admiral, here is a pic of my general

Hell yeah, they are nice bows,i have shot both of them,

Here is my newest.[img][/img]

Love my Mathews Switchback. I’m on my 3rd set of strings/cables and literally thousands of shots through the bow with not a single problem. If I ever upgraded, I’d go with the Mathews DXT.

short brace height. very hold sensitive.YOu really have to stay on top of your bow hand.

All I can say is that if it is sensitive, there is a design issue with the riser!

Mike

I shot the Mathews bows ,i actually wanted the monster until i shot the 82nd air borne ,

i really like this bow. as for the bowtech problems , they did the recall on the generals . that is a sweeet shooting bow also,

my nephew has a general with the replaced limbs., and it is more forgiving that my 82nd.he has taken 3 deer with it this season , lil shit ass.LOL.. hell i say little he is as big as me .now

I originally wanted a High country speed pro, no dealers around north Texas, would have to drive to Oklahoma city to shoot one.

My last bow was a High Country Safari. I loved shooting that bow and still have it.shoots 280fps with 600 grain arrow. At 80# draw .

Another thing that really surprised me is that my 82nd with a 425 grain arrow at 68# has more penetration than the High country at 80# with 600 arrow. In target bag and ply wood. These new bows are incredible.

i had my fred bear truth bow explode in my hands 😯 😯
using the thunderball system

i was hot and they said it was my fault and refused to do anything about it
👿 👿 luckily i got the bow at a garage sale the year the bow was realeased
it happened to be this guy was cheating on his wife she found out and when he was away on a “bussiness trip”
she put all his hunting stuff out dirt cheap
i got the bow for 40 bucks with a dozen arrows nd heads
i got a savage .223 and some reloading stuff for 100 bucks
and some predator calls like 6 or 8 for 5 bucks
😈 😈

Two of them that i know personally walked in with their damaged bows, and were escorted away from the front entrance rather quickly. Apparently they were willing to do almost anything to keep them happy, or quiet about it. They seem to be sweet bows, and a lot of guys around here shoot them because the factory is so accesible, closer than any bow shops to me, but have lost folllowing, locally at least, lately due to this “rash” of accidents, although i have heard of no major injuries. Arrows coming off the string, or a a loosely knocked arrow can produce the same result, but too many failures that i know of personally for me. Sounds like a scary situation. Matthews all the way.

Exploded? 😯 Same thing that was happening to PSE a few years back. That and the risers breaking at full draw. Several shooters got a riser in the face with very bad results. PSE went from damed near top dog at one time to being called Pretty Shitty Equipment Co. on the circut for a few years!

I know four different guys who have literally had their Bowtech bows explode in the last three years. I feel they are pushing the envelope of what the material they use for their limbs can withstand. I live within an hour of the Bowtech factory, and i bought a Mathews switchback. Very sweet bows. I can’t say enough about them. Mathews also sells more bows that all other bow manufacturers combined, that says something.

if u havent shot a compund since the 80’s and u thought it was good then
u would prolly bust a nut if you shot any of the new bows out

I dont know much about bow’s but I do drive right by their factory a few times a month.
I have not shot a compound since the 80’s. It was fun though.
