Anyone else go through Chrony Batteries?
I seem to always forget to turn the thing off, then come back to it a few days later and its still switched on.. and off course the battery is dead….
Once I tried to wire up a 9v DC adapter… Somehow managed to blow the thing so that it needed sending back to Shooting Chrony (Good service, did an upgrade and didnt charge for the repair!).

And of course they can’t use good cheap batteries. 😛
I’ve cost Cygnusx a few batteries from that 😆
My favorite trick is to leave my illuminated reticule on after a shoot in poor light. Go back to it the next day…… 😥
maybe find a micro timer switch and splice it in to one of the battery leads, so it turns itself off after 15mins or so?
No I don’t know part #s or where to get it, I’m not a big electronics guy, but I’m sure there’s one out there, too many gadgets have an auto-off feature.
If you figure it out, I’d buy one. Replacing $4 batteries gets old. (yes, I often make the same mistake)
Or just buy a dozen of the cheapest 9v batts you can find so you aways have a fresh one on hand 😉
