Q:

Anyone ever get a brand new scope that was busted…

…from the get go? I picked up a Nikko Sterling nighteater 6-24×56 (I think that is the power) and I tried to zero it today and man was that thing F*%cked up! It almost made me punch a hole in Momma’s laundry room window (where I do my indoor shooting).

I was 8 inches high and 5 inches left, I adjust (correctly, thank you) and now I am further left and high enough to almost put one through the window 😯

I try again and this time it puts it in the same spot as the first shot 😡

I pull that thing off to make sure it is not the rifle and put a good scope on and my pellets went where they were suppossed to.

I called the place I bought it from (legacy international) and they gave me a RMA code to mail it back. Just curious if anyone else ever had this happen with a Nikko or any other scope for that matter???

I got a bad scope put it on my gun and it was brand new , tried it and it shot 2 foot to the left I still have it if you want to buy. I will have to find it I know it is in the yard somewhere, probably by the corner of the wall

Why not trade for mine 😆

Never had a problem with a scope so far.
Touch wood and whistle…
Nothing worse than getting a new component and it fucking up, making you question the rest of the system, before realising its the new component….

Had problems with CenterPoint……..first one held zero ok, but the turrets were loose and had so much wobble I returned it for exchange and…………the exchange had a canted reticle………..aligned the reticle on the verticle and the horizontal, the turrets were at 1 oclock and 4 oclock. Never attempted to zero this one……….! Centerpoint replaced it no question ask. I never opened the box on this one and sold it NIB….oh almost forgot

Bought new Falcon Menace 4-14×44 FFP and it took gorilla strength to turn the magnification ring. Thought it would loosen some with use, actually got tighter, also was like looking through a black donut. Returned to retailer and requested full refund. I didn’t get a reply and while waiting, checked my bank account, the money had been deposited. I thanked him through my email.

They should honor their warranty or the retailer refund your money being your choice the consumer.

Good luck and hope you get satisfaction.

No, but stuff like that happens. Bad product gets out. An inconvenience sure, but with however many thousand they make it’s understandable to miss a lemon here or there. As long as they take care of you and get you a good one, that’s what counts.
