Q:

Anyone have parts or service matadors? mine blew up

My matador gauge blew off and now at the least i need a gauge/ o ring/ hex screw, probably a regulator too. Tony says parts are hard to come by because of shipping situation and may take a couple months. Does anyone have extra parts to sell?

Damn! That was scary as hell to read that and thank God he’s alright. I realize now it had to do with the attempted install of a depinger and not w/ re-filling it.
Being completely new to this sport it’s quite sobering to realize the potential damage possible when dealing w/ the high psi’s of PCP air guns and it certainly makes me want to learn the correct procedures for everything (including proper filling).
I have yet to purchase an air tank/scuba and even that makes me want to be sure I buy the safest type and know how to store/maintain it correctly.

Could you tell us how it blew up? Did you by chance creep past the 200bar mark? Just want to make sure I don’t accidentally mess mine up too since I just got mine and haven’t filled it up (nor need to yet since it came charged at exactly 200).
Thanks!

Most of these parts can be bought online, doesnt have to be the exact brand, the only tough one is the regulator.

Find out the type size of the Gauge, O-Ring & hex screw & google it online.
