Anyone here have their gun taken away by the Law?
I’ve been lucky, as the houses here are very close together, and before getting my TSS, I was shooting a C02 gun that was much louder, but had no complaints after many hundreds of rounds. But I always wondered what would happen if the cops did come around while I was shooting. From what I understand, living in LA city limits, it’s against the law to shoot a airgun ANYWHERE, even in your own backyard. So, technically, I guess they could take your gun if they wanted to, fine you, or just give you a warning, all of which I hope I never have to experience.
Wondering if anyone has any stories in this regard. I don’t mean years ago when you were a kid, but more like the last 5 years or so. I know this really isn’t much of an issue in certain parts of the country.

When I was a teenager I lent my bb-pellet gun to my neighbor because he told me he was making a film. He drove around with a bunch of bb guns and some blank firing guns in his trunk and stopped some girl walking and told her he was an under cover cop. She called the real cops and he was pulled over and arrested. My gun was taken to the station. I got it back after they didn’t need it for evidence . It was a pain to get it back. The funny thing is my neighbor became a cop.
Kids and BB guns don’t mix. There was nary a streetlight that survived when I had my daisy as a kid. 😆 😆
Actually, I forgot to mention this. I did get a complaint… the neighbor to my left (who’s been putting up with my shooting for months) complained that the kid who lives directly to my right apparently got a BB gun for his birthday, and while I was away, he was shooting it from his yard, over the wall into MY yard, (Lord knows at what… my cat? :shock:) and was concerned that the BB’s could fly thru my yard into his yard. The next time I saw the kid I asked him about it, and he said “Oh, that wasn’t me, my friend had my gun.” Lying little punk… I told him it doesn’t matter, if it’s his gun, he’s responsible regardless. Knowing this kid, he’ll do something stupid with it, (again) someone will call the cops on HIM, and he’ll hide the gun and tell them it was ME since he knows I shoot. If you knew this kid, you’d also know his parents are morons for even thinking of getting him something like that.

I might add that my immediate neighbors are extremely nice people. One couldn’t ask for better neighbors. Some of the others on the street………well.. you guys know how that goes.

Now…. they have got to know that I am up to no fucking good…..shooting the Mynah birds and what not. But I figure they know that if they ask me what the noise is from my house and think about making a complaint………Then they would actually HAVE to pay a welder to fix their stuff. Fear thru attrition. That’s my theory.

DH you got them hooked keep up the good work and you will be set. They have a service from you and that’s what’s good for them.
I myself have a unique situation. No, I have never had the cops at my house (yet), and most times I wonder why they haven’t been here. Me and my neighbors are almost on top of one another…. but three sides of my house are surrounded by block walls. Now, I know my neighbors can damn well here the blast from my Condor’s even though they are silenced. Yet nobody says a word. No cops, no nothing. Well……I am a welder by trade and my immediate neighbors know that. On occasion they will ask me to fix stuff for them. From table chairs to water heaters and even weld up some fence posts here and there at the softball field up the street.

Now, if you got an actual airsoft barrel and some kind of good loading system, you might be getting somewhere.
Still, 1200 is kinda fast for shooting at people. 😛
That would be cool for this cat that keeps pissing on my front door. I just want to sting that ass some not kill him. Maybe the high power full auto Airsoft too pepper that ass alittle 😆 One time I had him lined up with the Condor….And I pussed out and did not do it no heart or maybe I have one 😳 My old Norica with WC is just not doing the trick anymore.

That would be some pretty good shootin’, need a good gun for that. Wonder what Tony would charge for a full blown, balls out Tony Tune Airsoft? Man, i’m getting into this a little to deep lol.
LOL….Yeah like those high power airsoft guns. Jim aka synopsys knows all about them things and some of them can really cook at high FPS.
