Anyone Hot Rod their Vulcan .25
Hey folks my Uncle is getting older and crankier by the day so he has me writing this post for him because he has lost his patience for the younger generation on here. He is the Magnificent :hoot:
He would like to know if anyone has put their Vulcan .25 on Steroids? Is there any info on pushing this bad boy to it’s limits? Has anyone tighten down their hammer spring and screwed with the regulator to get more out of it? If so what are the results?

I want a HST adjuster for the Vulcan John. PM sent….
Hoot!! Yes I make the Ldc adapters for all these new Pups. I will make a couple of HST adjuster tools also.
Have you taken the Vulcan plunge? Or on a fact finding mission? Ernest is working on one now and will try to dampen the hammer slap too. I’m working on mine as well. I will post when I get some goodies made, hopefully this weekend.

I just tightened my hammer spring one full turn.
Dang, those are little holes to find something to fit. Ended up using two sharp tipped wood screws with a third for a lever.
Not ideal but worked.
Went out and shot a few over the chronograph.
The JSB 25.4’s went from 870 fps. to 920 fps.
The JSB 34.9 Heavies went from 750 fps. to 835 fps.
Kinda surprised the Heavies gained more than the standards.
But that is what my chronograph tells me. Shot 5 shots of each.
Were the shot accurate?
Don’t know, I just wung them through the chrono into the great beyond. Didn’t have time to do anything else.
Raining out nasty right now but if it clears before the end of the day I’ll check accuracy tonight.

Uncle Hoot. Looking at end cap of Vulcan it looks like LDC would have to be male thread.
