Q:

Anyone use Lube?

……for your pellets

I am curious to see how a light coating of Napier power lube on the JSB’s will perform in the cricket bore. Has anyone tried it? Findings? It seems the ag community is kinda divided over lubing pellets, some say it always increases accuracy while others say it does nothing. I’m skeptical but still plan to shoot some groups tomorrow morning with and without lube, I will post my results here for those who are curious. Let me know what you guys think, cheers

It depends what kind of JSB series you have, because… I lubed 18gr. series 32000013 of JSB and this kind of series were good for lubing. Then I got another series 20000013 they did not like it lube… Note: I lubed by Balistoll

My Cricket .25 did not like lubed pellets. The groups opened to .75 MOA at 50 yards. I was always sub .40 with out of the can JSB kings. The one thing I have noticed on all my .25s is the barrel need to be cleaned more often. The accuracy really suffers after about 250-300 rounds.

Yea I’ve noticed the same, I typically clean mine about once per tin of kings as the accuracy does really start to degrade after about 300 rounds. I’m still thinking about polishing my bore as I have heard that if you do it correctly it keeps your barrel from leading up so quick.
