Q:

AoA finally posted the raptor compressor

Just seen where Aoa posted the newest compressor on there website. For some reason instead of the name being raptor it has changed to Omega but appears to be the same thing. Anyone know if there has been any modifications between this omega version and the first ones Aoa was selling as raptor?

we had one guy on here who had one DR STEELE. but he has since departed. So as soon as someone else pops up we can get a better handle on the real time performance.

I personally rather see someone other than ted reviewing it. A guy like wingman would do.

It seems like a promising setup. My only concern… its 75lbs and shipping on that is gonna kill you every time it has to be repaired. I know with the shoebox Tom writes up a walk through how to repair and if the customer doesn’t feel comfortable he’ll have you send it in.

a lot of our question will be answered in time. If I had the extra coin right now id buy one and let everyone know. but with all these cool guns coming out I’m saving my change for a few of them.

I am hoping this turns out to be a great component for airgun owners. But still very leary about it, seems very strange we are not seeing any reviews or reports from users. I know Ted did a review on it which looks promising. AoA has already sold all they had in stock, and waiting on more to arrive. I don’t know how many they sold on the first batch, but you would think there would be more people talking about it. I guess time will tell.

Aoa is famous for huge markups and shippments with missing items. 👿

Thanks dman, that’s what I was thinking it was. I called AoA yesterday, there was 6 callers in front of me, I didn’t wait on hold to talk to them about it.

“AOA just wanted their name (Omega) on the Raptor to go with their product line since they are the main US distributor. Its called Omega Supercharger powered by Raptor Pneumatics. Same exact compressor”.

Thats straight from Raptor pneumatics.

Does anyone know if the Omega version has anything added to it that the raptor version doesn’t. Other than the name omega name tag.

Wow. One hell of a markup. I wonder how many missing parts it ships with also.

i do believe its the same thing…. Raptor pneumatics LLC imports them and AOA is a distributor. Omega is the parent company that makes them i do believe.

Confusing.
