Q:

AR15 Adapter for Talon Condor

Making big pieces of metal into small pieces. Here are some shots of .75″x1.5″ aluminum barstock that is being cut and milled down into parts of the adapter.

The repetition is so much fun 🙄

Lookin very nice Adam!

This is going to open up alot of grip options for us.

Here is some progress 😀

Keep up the good work WoK, you deserve a cookie

or two 😉

UPDATE:

In fitting and getting the design just right I found out that the grip will pivot and tilt slightly when using a single mounting bolt through the grip. I had to change the mounting position of the bolt and it will now use 2 separate bolts to mount with. One for the adapter to the frame and another to mount the grip to the adapter. Using one bolt could work but it did not pass my stability tests. In changing the mounting position for the adapter it is now a tad closer to the trigger. With the trigger guard it fits nice and tight. In some cases you might need to trim a bit with a dremel tool to shorten the very end of the trigger guard if it is a hair to long.

Right now it is a solid as a rock. Much better with the new mounting position

So things are coming along and will march on. This took a bit to sort out but was worth it.

Here it is mounted uncoated. The piece that goes into the gun will be left uncoated due to its tight tolerances to the grip. The front part will be black powder coated.

That is all for today. I will get more done next week.

Thanks

I’m looking around and seeing what people have been getting. The UPG16 is a V. nice grip. I like the fact you can customize its size.

Which AR-15 grip one did you get?

The UPG16 (AR-15 / M-16 / M-4 Interchangeable 6 piece Pistol Grip).

I have it on *other* firearms. I swap out the back swell for the larger insert which makes the grip fit my right hand nearly perfectly.

Given the setup of my Condor and the UPG16’s hand webbing extension (top rear of grip) I’ll need to make some corrections to the grip to ensure it seats properly. Given Adam’s pictures, the Condor, and the grip it appears that I’ll simply need to remove material along the back of the web swell/extension.
If that doesn’t seat well – or just looks bad – I’ll decapitate the extension
altogether.

However… I’ll not be cutting anything until the adapter hits my mailbox.

Another item I get with the UPG16 is the UPGS Target Shooting Stand. I like
the pommel base on a good grip. Just feels more solid, imho.

You buy groceries?, Beer, Soda? Ever go to Walmart? They all sell Money Orders.

If I can spend several days making them you can spend several minutes buying a MO or just send CASH. There is just as much risk me sending a piece through the mail as it is for someone to send $$.

I don’t trust those douches at Paypal with my account.

Pablo here can confirm that!

wok that link you put up is blocked by my fire wall
says there are many virus threats on it?

I am running Mcafee firewall and virus well as Spy Sweeper and at home Vista firewall, defender and Mcafee virus and the report no problems with the sight.

You do great work, my friend!

An instant reward consumer (damned near Pavlovian, actually…) I look daily
for the arrival of outstanding toys (orders). I just received my AR-15 grip
Saturday PM and am more than ever looking forward to mating the grip-2-
condor. Its gonna look flip’n slick!

Thx in advance for the idea, design, and mfr!! 😀 (And updates!!)

Gents; I got bitch slapped by WOK for sending funds for his work NOT to his specifications. He took the money and send his custom work none the less. My fault, my bust. He is a gentleman.

His designs are amazing, his machining is precise, his anodizing professional. What more could you ask for?

Raise your prices you fat bastard. You deserve more for your work. AKULA

Nice box 😆 😆 😆

The one on the top of the box must be for SAWTIME

A little milling on the nick knacks. This is the part the trigger guard meets the grip. Just giving a little up date on the progress.

WOK-
Maybe my bad but I thought it had to be from the P/O did not realize other M/O’s were OK.

Don’t blame ya for not trusting Paypal.

Later-

SAW

I started accepting all MO months ago. That makes is much easier to get one.

If a person had the same reputation of PayPal I would not even talk to them 😉
