How to make a cheap archery target? I’ve searched the internet and cant find any cheap ways to make a homemade archery target i am a begginer and want to practice. My bow is a compound bow with a draw wieght 30-45 pounds Plz help.

Not a problem Joe we had several set up when I shot Archery allot a few years back, with them able to swing it takes out allot of the impact and don’t go in near as far! works great the more plastic stuffed in there the better 😉
Thanks Eddie, you just gave me a great idea as well. Man, I am going to have to start designing a killer “shooting gallery” for pellet and arrow! 😎
Hiriama the first you tube video Walk had posted is a good one to make, they do work well if you have any places around you that happen to use plastic for whatever they throw away tons of it, or a recycable place if nothing else grocery bags bunches of them! One other tip I have seen I shoot Achery allot and a guy made one up like you see in the video but he used two metal fench post on either side of it and tied the bag up so it swings! allowing it to swing will take allot of the impact when the arrow hits and won’t go in near as far especially on a compound set up to shoot 300 fps and above!
Depending on if you shooting broad heads or not you may want to look at Cabelas. I have this one

I picked up a pretty good one from Dick’s for $40 bucks.I had one of those cheap foam ones from wally world that just would not hold up.I am shooting a bowtech tribute set at 52lbs.Never tried making one because the way my yard is set up I would lose my arrows and at $12 a pop I just decided to buy one.
I went to our local supermarket (publix) and asked for as many cardboard boxes as they could spare. I flattened them out, stacked them, wrapped duct tape around them, then inserted the 24″ wide layered cardboard mass into a thick black plastic gardbage bag. It works great for my 30lb recurve bow 😉

hay bales, milk bottles, dirt banks…list goes on and on…too many to list.
use HTM blunts then you can shoot almost any target without fear of losing an arrow. http://www.3riversarchery.com is a good source for blunts, targets etc
