Arrow conversion
Who was working on that recently? Any developments there? Getting those out at an affordable price would be a hit, those things looked awesome.

It may not be for everyone, but for archery buffs like my self it is some kind of fun. I shoot it just about every day,and I have been shooting the same 3 arrows for 2 months. I don’t aim at the same spot anymore 😯
Tag,
I’m not knocking it dude, it looks like an awesome design and you’re to be commended for developing it. Just tossing out a caveat for those who might not know otherwise. 😉
For that matter, the conversion is still clearly a “gun” and not a “bow”, so I’d bet you’d be waving bye-bye to the gun if you met up with a conservation officer.
You certainly don’t want to be caught hunting with one of these during Bow season. Muzzle loading season should be ok. It does load down the muzzle after all, but I would still check especially if hunting public land.
It is superior to any bow or crossbow and inferior to any gun .22mag and up. So if you can only legally hunt with it during gun season why bother? Because there is just something incredibly cool and appealing about shooting arrows at lethal speeds and with great accuracy out of an air gun.

Tag,
Instructions. Also have written intructions.
You manufacture these kits? Are available?
If you’re going to hunt with it, you need to check your state laws. For example, my state just OK’d hunting with a crossbow, but they placed a limit on how fast the crossbow can sling the arrow (~325FPS +/-, IIRC).

This would be a good option for someone who can’t load a crossbow because of the draw weight. It also shoots arrows well over 400fps(in the 440s with the chrony string I looked at). Most crossbows only get in the mid 300s.
why not just get a crossbow?
there’s all sorts of ‘conversions’ to shoot “arrows” from rifles as there is to shoot pellets from bows… but it seems counterproductive; why add all the pertinent apparatus to convert when just purchasing the real item is less problematic?
spine? spine is almost a non-issue with a crossbow…they’re usually all the same…150lbs..spine is critical when shooting a recurve or longbow and in particular if it’s not centercut…an “arrow” as long as the ones shown would probably be in the hundreds of pounds “spine” rating. it would be like cutting a piece of pipe, fletching it and shooting it from a crossbow.
spine is, BASICALLY, the flex in relation to the length ratio…AMO standard is 26″ between centers… spine is measured by using a two pound weight in the center of that 26″ to see how far the shaft will “flex/deflect”. i doubt you could get those “arrows” to flex with a two pound weight.
it gets deeper but in order to understand it, one must see the dynamics at work.
that being said…how well would it work? you’d just have to find out if it was worth it for your own application.
Whats on the CD?
How it works? Any video on youtube?
I’m interested 😉
You Tube is on my to do list this Winter. I’ll let you guys know when its up.
Does the arrow stay on the barrel at a downward angle? Like from a treestand.
😯 😯 😯 😯 😯

How heavy is that hammer?
Is the spring stronger than the stock spring?
How heavy are the arrows (spine??)?
Too many questions 🙄 🙄 😯 😯
How accurate and how fast does it shoot

Kind of a land version of a pneumatic speargun. With a stainless barrel, trigger parts and tophat this could be the most verstile sport gun ever. Of course the underwater arrow would have to be heavier with a tether slide but that’s minor. The possibility is there if nothing else.
