Uncle Hoot, I always achieve One Hole groups with One shot.. at most any range..just one shot..if I hit the paper. 😀

seriously, sometime ago, I posted a thread at the yellow on what does One Hole groups really mean. And I think Harry gave a good explanation with photos.

You know, I’ve looked at that group a LOT! And it has appeared on several forums.

Seriously guys…I shot competitively, .22 caliber Remington/Winchester bull barrel, single shot target rifles, weighed 12 to 15 lbs, equipped with 20X Unertl scopes, back in the 1960’s and 70’s. I never, ever, not once, saw a shot group that tight, even in the prone position, at any of the indoor ranges we were using, using the target grade ammunition, competition grade barrels, and the best German scopes. The standard distance, at that time, was 25 yards. This shooter is claiming he did this at 40 yards?

I’m sorry, I don’t think it is physically possible at 40 yards.

The equipment may be that good, if solidly bolted to a 1000 pound barrel testing rest, with absolute zero movement to vibration or recoil, pellets weighed to the hundredth of a gram, checked for exact and consistent dimensions, but no human shooter alive is capable of those results, even with a bench rest. You will never be so good as to achieve that smooth a circular holed shot group at 40 yards, with no apparent deviation of thousandths of an inch, creating the usual “ragged one hole” group.

I was indeed born at night. However, it wasn’t last night!

That’s my opinion Gentlemen! Objections, proofs, repeat results by anyone else, witnesses, rifle manufacturer testimony, pellet manufacturer testimony…all more than welcome. If Ted in Madison can’t do it…if the “Arizona” competition shooters, that beat Ted, couldn’t do it, then I do not believe it is humanly possible.

Prove me wrong. Show me any Olympic shot groups at that range! Show me professional target shooter’s shot groups at that range! Just has to be the same caliber, air powered, not electronically fired, nor mechanically anchored…

Ted in Madison…can you show us your best 40 yard shot group…using any of the top end pcp rifles you’ve used? Ted’s not the best pcp marksman in the world, but he’s the best I’ve ever seen, and watched his shot groups impact, pellet by pellet.

Kindest regards,

H 😯 😯 t

How about any groups at 140yards?

HW100 is also very accurate gun. It has better trigger and is only 12ft/lbs
Up to 30meters is hole by hole. 50meters is possible but in no wind condition you can get 5 shot group into 10x12mm. For HFT or FT is more suitable than cricket. I got 150 shots from HW100 in pressure range 200bar – 80bar. With +-2m.s differences.

Awesome grouping! Seems to be a very nice weapon..

Very nice shooting. It is 36,5m But I have not so large indoor shooting place 😀

How’s the HW100 compared to the cricket?

Oh, sure now you say it was covered… 😆

Way to make me look bad! 😆 😆 😆

Did this a few weeks back with a Matador R3 and 37 meters. 10 shots each group. There´s a valve cap to give some dimension to it . So it´s not just those damned Bugs … 😉

… and the damned pic doesn´t show again … 🙄

Sorry if you feel that the Cricket is bugging you (pun intended), but your group is still bigger. The Cricket made all the pellets go into the first hole. Just kidding. Nice group though. 😉

Indoor ranges have their advantages compared to outdoor ones. 😉

Anyone finding that the Crickets are pellet picky? I’m guessing they are not. 😀

Mine is actually shot outdoors BUT under/in a roofed machinery shelter with no winds to speak off so i quess it kinda falls into indoors category ..

Is your group a ten shot one ?? And mine is three of them groups (10 shot each) in a row. Bugger … 😀

steeldreams007, very impressive group, I saw some green color on the edge of hole, did you treat your pellets?

The link is some kind of scripted gallery which fetches the picture as opposed to just being a link to the actual hosted photo.

I changed it to a clickable URL so people can see your photo by clicking it. When you upload the photo, see if there is a link that ends in .jpg, .gif or .bmp etc – those work with the [img] tags.

P.S – Nice groups, both of you.

unbelievable good group!! I buy one with Bori.wait delivery. 😆
