ATTENTION ED !!!
I would like to know the correct barrel torque on a std R3 cal. 22. I know,i know- there may be no exact torque values for these barrels but something in the ballpark will do. Hand tight? Handtight + 1/2 turn? Handtight + 1 turn ? Tighten till the threads let go and back out half a turn ??? What? Why? When ?? Where ??? I really want to know … ❓

Since we no longer use those medieval measurement like pounds,inches,feets and hands and whatnot we DEMAND to know the exact metric torque values for everything . From barrels to cabinet hinges there HAS to be a known Nm value for it. What would the world become without torque values ??

I have explained before, turn till hand tight, and then, with both hands, 1/2 turn more. Do this, and all will be well.
As few Western individuals know…there is no such thing as “Metric Torque”, so, in the old country such things are done with easily understood manual efforts.
The barrel will not be “stretched”. All that is accomplished is obtaining a very firm pressure on the threads to obtain proper barrel alignment, and to prevent loosening of the breech/barrel/shroud interface during normal use.
Spare yourselves this pain and indecision, and follow my simple instructions….leave your soiled pen behind, abandon swine that mislead you, and let me lead you into the light!

Medieval ft-lbs work as well Ville because today we have an app that can convert that outdated measurement to something useful and understandable 😀
