Yes, the hammer can come out either way. Duh, unless the new trigger safety gets in the way. I don’t have the newer one.
Damn, I’m geeting to old I guess. If taking it out the breach end I don’t remember if the tank mounting collar may have to be removed. I’ just take it out the muzzle and try to keep it all on the barrel until I’ examine the parts locations. There is a large flat rubber washer in there somewhere I think between the power wheel and hammer spring. i had my tuned down hammer arrangement different to get the high flow valve to balance out for the 12″ .177 conversion.
With the barrel out u can easile inspect for burring of the frame tube. If your OEM hammer has scratches on the rear plastic piece you should remove any burrs to help consistency.

Thanks for the tips lurker#1 i have heard before about the power wheel screw but not about the sear. How do you release it, just by uncocking the hammer? Can the hammer be removed thru the breach if you remove the bolt first?

Finally got a couple mostly sunny days in west central ohio BUT the range is gushy wet and the damn wind gusting above 30 MPH and steady 15-20.

Also, you may have to release the trigger seer to get the hammer out.

Watch out you dont drop that tiny hex screw frim the power wheel. It loves to play hide-n-seek.

don’t know about “quite” but it is getting quiet on here because it’s spring time and all the northern shooters are finally able to get outside and SHOOT!!! That’s where I’d be this afternoon if it wasn’t raining like a cow peeing on a flat rock here!
