Q:

Baby Cricket Now Leaking

After switching back to shooting the standard .22 Cricket (after just fixing a leak in the valve stem seal) and leaving my .177 Compact Cricket on the wall for a few months now the CC has developed a slow leak. Too funny. I wonder where the leak will be? 🙄

Good to hear. My Cricket is one of the latest production units and holds air 100% like my AirWolf. Thankfully the Cricket is a masterful design as it is made to….maintain… for the average airgunner. Glad you got it resolved.

That oring is flattened and fell apart in my fingers. It’s amazing it worked at all.

#8 looks slightly deformed too so I am replacing it as well while I am in there.

It’s got gas! :8:

Finally took the air tube off and stuck it in the tub. It is either oring 11 as well or the gauge itself (I hope the oring). Lucky I made the tool. 😉

Nice – looks like Earnest gave me a bunch of those in his oring kit for the Crickets. I even have some new nylon tipped set screws for replacing the bleed screw I bought. I should be all set.

Interesting. I have a home grown version of that tool if needed and a Cricket oring kit.

Happened to me 3 months ago. I tried replacing #19 and #8 first and cleaning #18 screw. That did not help in my case as the leak turn out to be on #11. For that I had to buy the special gauge tool to unscrew it from John (good tool to have). Once I replaced #11 I was set to go. This is of course assuming your leak is happening from the gauge area!
