Wing, no prob with hijacking … I vote for your stock as excellent and after using the Leyla, you do get used to it but I very much would like your design better for feel and use. I took a close range ground hog with it, he was undermining some boulders on the hill above my house, did not realize he was working in the area until i had a near miss rock slide and I believe it was a result of his handy work. Rock slab the size of a small car slid about 40 feet down the hill and stopped 24 inches from my work shop. I normally shoot the coons and ground hogs with the cricket 25 or the Edgun 30 but this day I had the Leyla in the passenger seat and was offered a very close shot as he scurried into the woods 10 feet or so but froze in plain site. Turned off his light instantly but I am more comfortable with the larger calibers on these sized pests.

Is that a bug buster ?? Not sure what that scope is……….. I am seriously thinking about an eo tech, this gun is very lite and most scopes add a lot of weight killing the beauty of it. Since it is going to be my 10 to 40 yard gun and not intended for longer range I am thinking I can adapt to a 20 and 40 zero or so and just use hold over and under with a single aim point. I’m gonna try it good or bad…. I will at least like the profile and weight of this type of sighting system. My biggest concern is the smallish size of the targets with these guns just screams for magnification…We’ll see…

P.S. I love that stock design !! this stock has a seriously funky feel.

Not sure on the scope either. It’s the mfg’s pic, and he’s in Spain. My P-rod currently has a a bugbuster 3-9 cqb version on it. I have both the old and new 3-9 versions, and the new version (cqb) is more generous in the eye relief.

Phil-
That stock looks great! Is that burl, or some funky native NZ wood?
It would be cool if SPA would put out a kit with that stock

Its still un finished Hemn, I hope one day soon I will get time to finish it and continue the progress on its own thread.. I dont want to hijack Rides Lelya thread 😕
The engineer that designed the P12 did however contact me wanting to 3D model my stock design… now we just have to convince SPA to manifacture it

Brother Phil,,,

it looks really beautiful ,,,please post a pic after polishing with an oil and finished all,,, i would like to see it,,, i am sure there is a great look on that stock once finished,,

always you can do the different and special thing for yourself,,, great :8: :8: :8: :8: :8:

great little actions, I have the Veles pistol it was derived from, I like the look of the Lelya stock but something about that grip just doesn’t gel with me..

I built my Compact P-Rod with the Lelya influence too but gave it a more traditional pistol grip..

Wow! Thanks, that’s innovative and clean.
I have one of these inbound for my p-rod, kinda off- shoot looking to the Leyla.

I might just be time for a new avatar pic. update.

Rat Chere…

Sweet little shooter. Where the heck is the loading port?

Very nice. That grip is unusual.

WOW, museum quality, nice poster.

This was a trade, with a Friend and I sacrificed my R3 22 std, opting to keep the R3 Short I bought new. I am not sure about if or where it might have been advertised, he just texted me and let me know it was up for grabs. I got my .30 cal Ed from him as well, great guy. I just threw a scope on it and wow, what a fun little gun to shoot. The grip is a bit odd feeling but that will pass with a few more shots. I used a Leupold cantilever mount and a Weaver Ultra HD scope for now. It looks like abstract art standing in the Window sill. Quite happy to have this little fella. If there is one stand out feature that gets my attention it would be the way the action works and it does work so flawlessly that all single load guns should work this way !! Only down side is it closes up with a clack sound that would be detrimental to hunters, I will try to close it quietly and see how that works. That is it for first impressions.

Im guessing you bought/traded the one on the yellow?

Ride, what did you do, trade cantankerous Uncle Hoot some vital organs, perhaps a Knee for the Lelya. Nice score, we will need lots of Pics!!!!

Regards
Larryw 🙄 🙄
