Q:

Baby replacement CZ barrel

Received my CZ barrel from RL to replace my Made in Germany Barrel. Question for others who installed the replacement CZ barrels.

When I tried to push the barrel all the way flush against the back. There’s still about a 1 mm gap. I also noticed that the set screw on top does not perfectly line up center. There was a huge blow back that was coming out of the gap. If I wrap my palm around that area and shoot, I can feel a strong puff of air.

I removed the barrel and put it in my lathe to removed 1 mm from the end. Now the hole is lined up center but still a puff of air from the housing. So what I had to do was put an oring where that 1 mm gap was in the picture and push the barrel in really hard to screw in the set screw. Puff of air is gone but I’ll have to test for accuracy tomorrow.

Let me know how yours lined up. Thanks

The other barrels TP could have made a nicked it when removed.

I’d also give the area close to the TP that makes the seal on the barrel O-ring a nice light polishing ……..

They’re 2 possible places where it can leak from.
The breech end and the barrel end like you’re experiencing.
They both have different fixes ……….

Don’t cut the barrel end ……… like Dman said.
IIRC the distance from the TP edge to the end of the barrel is .06″ max and .04″ min.
If it’s less or more u could get a popping sound, a face blast when fired.

Yea Oring was there. I’ll swap it out tomorrow and lube

Donny….

I wouldnt of gone cutting the end of the barrel like that….

From the end of the barrel to the center of your tport should be around .1395″ …

It sounds like the oring inside the block is missing or messed up… you shouldnt be getting blowby out the front. That oring should seal so this don’t happen…

Did you verify that the oring was in there
