Q:

Backyard Night Pesting for $12.75.

I thought this might be useful to anyone who has backyard pests (coyotes, opossum, racoons, skunks etc) and doesn’t want to fork out big bucks for night vision equipment. It may not be for everyone but for some it might be just what you are looking for. Here is how it works:

1) pick up a solar powered motion activated garden light. Walmart and Amazon have a bunch (see link below).

2) mount ithe light where you expect the critters about 4 feet off the ground facing away from your shooting spot.

3) put your bait about 5 feet beyond the light.

4) sip a cold beer and watch the game and wait for the light to come on.

5) repeat as needed.

Happy hunting.

I may just do that. But right now I have corn behind the house.

You have taken my idea up a few notches. Nice work. Suggestion. Try facing the light away from you but put a light reflector further out. Trailer stores sell all kinds of reflectors. That way you will get a clear signal that the light is on. The varmint will be better lit up and easier to see and shoot. Give it a try and let us know what you think.

Streetsmart this is my set up,
Solar powered flood light out at 300 yards facing toward me but not so it blinds me. If I face it away it’s hard to tell if it’s on at that distance.
My game camera, and most important, my wireless doorbell.
Now I can sit back in the living room watch TV and when I hear “Ding Dong, you’ve got company” Now it’s time to get up and mosey on over to the breakfast room window for the shot. :5:
