Some of you guys are totally overreacting, there’s been Chinese PCPs on the market for sometime now and they work just fine, most likely the most sold PCPs in the world (crosman) are made in china too 🙂 🙂

Bingo to the above post! I bought some expensive Chinese machinery about 15 years ago and it does a fine job. I invested in more machinery about 6 years later and I couldn’t believe the improvement in quality. Today the product is even better. A far as putting an airgun up to my face; I’ll pass for now.
As far as what someone said about people having their faces up Ed’s butt when no parts are available or slow to arrive – right on!
A far Chinese goods – I import a lot of Chinese products in my field and the improvement in quality through the years up to today is incredible. You have to understand, in many instances it’s Americans starting up factories and running them however they’re able to do that. And when that is the case, the quality is just as good as anywhere else. How can you not want to invest in a company where the hourly wage is $1 an hour!
You´re right . Not everything made in China is useless (see those GB Atlas knock-offs for an example) nor is an airtube made in China automatically lethal hazard. This China thing is kinda Deja Vu from those days Japanese were copying everything and were a subject for lot of talk. Look at the Japanese made things today – and a good while back; Electronics,cars,optics and what-not. They learned and so will the Chinese in their own time. Some day the Chinese cars may be mainstream,their scopes the best money can buy and their airguns top notch. It doesn´t have to take all too long time either.
That said lots of stuff made in General Mao´s country is rude crap. No question about it. But i have this nagging feeling they´ll catch up and a country with that many people in it should have enough people with some sort of feeling for quality – not just quantity.

I know my history and I know what you Finns did, and did it so very well.
I see the same thing with the Japs and the Filipino’s, the older ones remember how truly brutal the unapologetic murderous WW11 generation Japs were and the younger ones are getting on their knees for some jap jizz.
And yes I know the Edgun is a great gun, my Edgun experience was not however, and if I had kept it and waited two or three months for a regulator I would really be pissed.
I keep thinking I need a Cricket, but the killing I do here is by sneaking up on critters and poking the muzzle thru a veil of grape vines to take the shot, and a bullpup would not work for that.
I just get a kick out of seeing these loyalists, to whatever product, so incensed that they can’t see the forest thru the trees, be it Edguns or AirForce guns, fact is if fire arms were as fragile and unreliable as air guns, we would be packing concealable compound bows in high rise holsters and paying the Indians rent.
I dislike the mainland Chinese for how rude they are when I travel around them, and I do go out of my way to avoid their products, but it is hard to do these days. However to say off hand the Chinese can’t produce a safe air tube is really having ones head up their respective asses because you think that AirForce or Edgun or whoever is their god of air gunning makes me laugh, but then I always did think a BB gunner circle jerk was humerous.
Granted the Chinese don’t seem to be able to make a baby formula that is not lethal, but then they have too many kids anyway. 😛

How may Disco, MRod and PRods have failed air tubes, any guess where they are made?

I am not a bullpup fan, just not my style, but I also don’t go around with my nose in someone Russian’s ass while singing his praises that does not provide parts for his guns either.
I know that Edguns are great guns, but every gun needs a parts supply.
I bought a Edgun in 25 from a fellow here, the regulator did not work and needed replaced, I returned it the same day and he being a honest seller took it back, then he waited months to get that regulator.
I´m with you 110% on the parts supply being beyond a joke. But i don´t have my nose in any Russians ass. I just know when something is good and i don´t care where it´s made. We Finns actually have 100 times more reason NOT to like Russians than you Americans will ever have. Study some WWII history and you´ll know why. My Father, a 76 years old geezer, was actually mad at me when i bought a Russian made EdGun. His generation don´t forget how they grow up in their early years when Finland was in war against Russia. He can´t see the fact that the Russians today have nothing to do with what happened back then – most of them were not even born back then anyways.
Enough of that crap – like said i don´t care where something is made if it´s genuinely made. Like said the parts supply is beyond bad but thankfully parts aren´t needed too often.
P.S We (a very small country with 4.2 million people back then) kicked their Russian ( almost 300 million people those days) butts back to Stalingrad for good. No one (except maybe those crazy/brave hicks from Toad Suck) messes with Finns !! 😆
No Stereotypes here, been there a few times. Couple of my cousins are gay and proud, I support them. They’re from San Jose and frequent San Fran. My best friend from college came out recently which threw me a curve ball because in college he was hooking up with girls. Its all good in the hood. He actually flew down from Connecticut to visit me yesterday and today headed down to Miami to celebrate his birthday.

What´s not to trust ? After all Russian weaponry has always been sturdy as hell and ingeniously simple in construction. Take AK47 ,as an exmple- The most copied,most trusted and widest spread assault rifle in history of the rifles. Bar none!
EdGun is definitely as sturdy and ingeniously simple in its construction as an high-end airgun will ever get.
I´d like to see the ass (or maybe not..) on that poor bastard who´d be able to use an EdGun as a butt plug though …

There is no miracles in this world, whatever people think about it. Things with the same level of quality will cost the same money no matter where they are made. Yes, there can be some difference due to the used technologies, labor cost etc, but basically it will be very close. So, if Chinese EDgun will be the same quality as Russian ones — they will cost about the same money, if they will cost cheaper — the quality will be worse. That is it. Nothing to talk about any more 🙂
