baffle correct adjustment
Is there any other way to inspect and or to correct the actual position of the baffle on R3 long besides visually inspect it. The one that I have it does seem to have just a tiny bit of room left by couple of mils and does not look lined up compare to the barrel section. The reason to ask was that the gun is shooting to the right most of the time and I thought to ask you guys here. Is this the baffle related thing or so on and so forth…

Can anyone tell me what number the R3 long .25 serial number starting from? Mine is 0128. What ‘s yours?
I have Burris also, and not only I don’t have any problems with them, but I think it’s the best ring design that got invented in the last 10 years. I can have my optical center (OC) very close to my zero and my POI never changed since I installed my new scope. Actually, I pot my OC farther than my zero since I don’t need much optical quality at small ranges, and I accomplished that putting the ring very close to the turret and each other. It works great and the scope is rock solid.
So, if your are sure that you suspect Burris or the scope, my money’s on the scope.
As suggested, the baffle holes were marked white without missing any spot and put through the test for pellet clipping and no issue was found. I ‘m using burris medium 1″ diameter scope rings tactical two pieces and will try to use different mounts to see whether it ‘s causing the issue. I ‘ll be also putting different scope to see it ‘s the scope related issue. There is a slight possibility that might have to do with the scope rings. Will keep you guys posted and thanks for your inputs.

After a year of on and off accuracy depending on how much I tightened
the shroud I finally took a slightly larger drill bit,drilled washers,tested
w/marker,problem finally solved. 😀
Another thing you should check is the breech end of the moderator tube. There should an o-ring in the end cap that locates the breech end of the moderator.
A friend of mine with an R3 long had a similar problem with yours and we found out that the o-ring was damaged and that resulted the whole moderator-baffle assembly leaning to the right.
After we changed the o-ring the assembly was sitting straight again.
There was an older post that I came across from someone having the same thing and that was related to the baffle not being positioned correctly or tightened all the way which resulted in shooting off to the side. I think it might be relative to mine.
Mines at appx 2 and 7 o’clock. Ive played with different indexes by shimming shroud to barrel interface and it resulted in no noticeable difference in POI. So i left it were it came from Ed as it works and shims look less than desirable. The barrel is in line with airtube and shoots online from out to 200+yds. I personally wouldnt worry about alignment of baffles as long as barrel is inline overall.

It has been done professionally. This was the first thing that needed to be done. This one would be the second area to check in to, however I ‘m open to other suggestions. Thanks for the tip.
Check it for clipping, take a marker (or kids nail polish), and coat the inside of all the washers where pellet flyes.
Shoot it, see if your clipping. The only fix i know of is to take a little larger drill bit, and port open those washers to a little larger size.
Maybe take it off, spin it 90 degrees put it back on with a little locktite….ect..
