Q:

Ballistic Coeffecient of Predators

Hello, again.
I’m looking for the ballistic coeffecient values for the Predator pellets.
These are the Predator Polymag 8 gr in .177, and the 16 gr in .22.
Thanks for the direction.
This site has the most fun by far.

Thanks, Guys.
Jerry, that’s what I’ll do. But on the other hand, at the ranges we’re using these pellets for pest control or hunting, my trying to “overanalyze ” the situation with a BC is …well…typical for me.
BPCR is my passion, but, oh.. these airguns!

IIRC Harry shoots at a fairly high altitude. I don’t know if that BC is compensated or not but its worth looking into.

Sadly, BC values vary with velocity ranges and some say from gun to gun. The tables online are either great or they have serious errors.

The best thing to do is to shoot enough across a chrony to get a good average number at the muzzle and then put the chrony at range and do it again. The two averages can then be used in an online calcualter to give you a BC for your gun/location.

.021 for the .22, I think. Which IIRC was passed to me by Yrahh.
