Q:

Barrel Alignment screw

I removed the barrel of my Tactic for a thorough cleaning and while installing the barrel back I tried to remove the barrel alignment screw but it was so tight that it got stripped. So placed a mark on the barrel using a sharpie and aligned it.

My question is what’s the use of this alignment screw. It is small and prone to getting stripped and if not installed tight enough it lets the air out with every shot. It does not hold the barrel, like in Fx, as the barrel is held in place by the 4 screws below the scope rail.

In my opinion Evgeny should get rid of this screw/hole and there should be an indent on the block and the barrel, at the breach, to align the barrel.

dont use IKEA allen keys.

those match only FX airguns

run to local hobbyshop and buy a set of MIP hex wrenches….they have the best tip and wont round out your screws…you might even be able to get the screw out even though it seems rounded with your regular tools

thats normal, when you mess with something what should be left alone
even Ernest said in one of his videos that he sometimes puts scratches on guns, nothing you can do about it. shit happens man

next time you dont pull the barrel out

did you round off the hex screw hole where the blade goes into or it is the inner thread wasted in the action. what i have done with my screw: i heated it up in flame while it was out so it melted the gluestick on the threads very thin and evenly. so no leaks and i never had to tighten it too much. in my experience it is not the rotation is the critical bit but the depth, thats more fiddly to get right. To have the magazine fit just right. not too lose and not too tight.

the screws suck, there are just way too many if you are a fuxeneer. I have seen some Vulcan for sales a few days ago with missing a screw head completely too. not sure if it will sell like that.
