Barrel break in period…
Does the TSS need a break-in period on barrel? In other words, does barrel “settle-in” and start shooting more accurately after 100-200 pellets have been fired through it ? Some other brands do seem to get better after a bit.

Like I said before..I’m definitely in the right place… 😎
I think they call it re-tards.

OUCH ! OUCH ! OUCH !
Then if you do it wrong, you have to measure again. 👿
I think they call it re-tards.
Depends how tall they are..
Only if they are laying down… end to end.
Depends how tall they are..
How far is 25 tards? 😕 😆
Well, I’ll say this…whatever it is my gun has got it….buddy came over and took 10-12 shots with it,,,it was sighted in for 25 tards dead on.. I went out late this afternoon and could barely even get a hit on the paper, with everything still exactly the same……I’ve seen this happen a good bit with new guns, I just figured it was the barrel getting “run in’..anyhow, got about 400 rounds through it now…it should slowly start gettin”right” after another couple of hundred shots….man I be diggin’ the high-tech-ness…sure different from a $100.00 springer 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆
Never use a solvent on the patch. I push couple of patches with FP-10.
Then several dry ones.
It then takes about a dozen shots to settle the barrel down.
After about 1000 pellets my TalonTunes SS has dropped about 1/2″ lower
and 1/4″ to the left @ 50 yrds. I think it is more the parts settling in then the
barrel breaking in.
And it starts….
1st, get the gun, and a scope, and a WOK butt, and a WOK-ARD-15, and a 24″ .25 barrel, and a green laser and a night vision set up and a couple of pallets of pellets and this little compressor… http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ao7aZe4ZQzo
and a CF-tank, and..and..and…. hmmm never seems to stop…
Welcome to the madness 😀 😀 😀 😈 😛 😎 😯 😆 😮 😉 ❗ ❗ ❗
Alrighty then..I just wanted to know what to expect..first shots aren’t gonna mean much anyway..just getting used to hold, trigger technique, loading, re-filling etc…. it will be here tomorrow!! And even though I’ll be 62 years old in about 2 months,I still feel like a kid at Christmas time !!!
I, like a LOT of other guys, have looked at AF guns, and wished, and put it off, and first one thing and then another, but never got an AirForce gun. When I found out how much my tax refund was going to be, I KNEW EXACTLY what I was gonna do with part of that money. yeah, baby.!!
hell i cleaned my barrel and it took 400 to settle down it does take a few pellets to settle them down if new just dont clean the barrel with a solvent dry patch it
My 18″ barrel shot good out of the box. My 24″ needed a good 100 or so pellets before it settled down.

After 1000 shots I like to break the rifle down and clean through and through and dry lube areas of contact! I silicon the breach seals every time I shoot.
